The City of Long Beach, CA decided that if you are a vendor and handing out any kind of favor (cake samplings, food samplings, candy, ANYTHING to do with food at the recent bridal show on the Queen Mary, you would have to fill out an application and pay a fee of $70 for the five hours to pass out favors! I had no idea candy was in one of the food groups!
We do not make candy! We buy our candy for our buffets from reputable candy wholesale companies. I think the City of Long Beach maybe realized that they could get some revenue when the last bridal show at the Queen Mary drew over 1,000 brides! It didn't matter that I was just passing out suckers that were wrapped...I was told that I would be breaking the law! Has anyone else run into this at bridal shows?
