I am thinking of having a Wedding Planning Shower for brides to be's. At this shower I would like to invite a couple of vendors and let the brides to be see what they have to offer. I was thinking of doing it at a local community center. I would supply a luncheon and some wedding favors as gifts for coming? Are there any vendors in the Ft. Worth, Crowley TX area that might be interested in coming?

Although I'm not in your area, we offer something along the same lines! It's our Bridesmaids & Bellini's nights - brides and their friends/family can come and get their hair done, their make up done, have some fun pictures taken, enjoy our signature cocktail, all while talking to professionals in the industry.

Hi,

I wonder how much business the event brings. It is fun and convenient for brides and their family/friends, but isn't only that, fun and source for the ideas.

I am a florist and considering to organize the event like that with cooperation with other vendors.

Your input would help me making the decision.

Thank you,

So this is basically like a mini wedding expo, right? Sounds like fun! For other wedding planners that already do this or have done this, how is the turn out? This sounds like a great idea, but does it benefit you? How do you get the word out to all bride-to-be's and their families and/or friends? I also question, as does MW Flower Design, whether the event brings in much business?

All of the vendors should find it worthwhile. In order for your event to be successful you will have to have plenty of vendors. If you have only a handfull of vendors the brides to be will feel that it wasn't worth their time.

If possible, have each vendor provide a give-away for a raffle. Each bride would receive a raffle ticket in exchange for providing her name, wedding date, email address, etc. All of the vendors would receive the brides' info for sales purposes.

Calling it a shower is A Bad Idea. Call it a mini-expo, bridal fair, etc.
