Exquisite Gems Events: My sister-in-law told me about the Bridal Hunt you had 2 years ago. It sounds like a great idea! What exactly is it??

Hi Everyone, my company, Exquisite Gems Events, LLC a full service event planning firm in the DC area, is hosting The Amazing Bridal Hunt(TM), February 21st. We are doing a passport for the brides as a keepsake and in it we have ad space for vendors. Prior to going to print, we realized that we have a few places still available for ads. This is a great way to get your information into a targeted area. We are also offering discounts to anyone from the Bridal Tweet Community! If interested, email me at rcarson@exquisitegemsevents.com

We are working on a video piece to help our wedding and event planner friends communicate to their clients the importance of having a good wedding planner. Here is one of testimonials from a bride we have been given permission to share with you.

Hi, this is why I should've hired a wedding planner:

I have shot at least a few dozen high-end weddings in Chicago - so I know all the preperation and frustration that goes into a wedding - especially on the wedding day - so I figured that since I knew how to avoid I would be fine without a wedding planner and I was so wrong! Our limo driver called the day before and told us that the driver was picking us up the next day
(the day of the wedding) at The Quality Inn (which was correct), and the flower lady called and we confirmed everything - I went to bed happy knowing that everything would be okay. The next day the limo driver went to the Country Inn and Suites 20 minutes away and was 30 minutes late picking up myself and my fiance's whole family for my wedding. I was 30-40 minutes late to my own wedding, and some of his family didn't even see me walk down the aisle! My flower lady was late for setting up, and she set up the reception first and then went to the church during the ceremony to set-up the alter and was horrified when my mom would not let her set-up!! The sancuary was completely bare of any decorations!! My cell phone was ringing off the hook all day long, and my phone bill for that day was over $300. At the reception the wedding caters took the cake away early, and when we went to cut the cake we turned around to find out there wasn't a cake there anymore! They brought it back out - but it was half-chopped up!! I wish I would've hired a wedding planner - the wedding and reception ended up being beautiful because of our amazing family and friends but a wedding planner would've made it perfect without me (and especially my mother) in tears at the end of the night!

Ask a Videogapher?
Yes Ask a Videographer, you would be surprised how insightful we can be after filming hundreds of weddings. We've seen the good, the bad, and things that should never be preserved on film. We work closely with wedding planners to know exactly when the action is going to happen and sometimes offer some minor suggestions that can really keep things moving smoothly. We are hired to capture every important moment on film, so we know we can't sit back and let things go wrong without trying to help resolve the matter. Hopefully your chosen team of wedding vendors work this way as well. It makes a big difference for everyone. We also, should be the first person you contact for a copy of the video or video clips of the work you have done for your site.
