A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?: I am an independent jeweler that owns and operates a small working studio/gallery/school/retail store located in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, MO. I was trained as a goldsmith doing custom design and repair in the retail jewelry world for over 8 years before pursuing a wholesale business in custom design and repair of jewelry stores in the Kansas City, MO area. After several years in the jewelry trade and having a baby I decided that I would change directions and create a jewelry line of my own and market it through national craft shows. Ten years of doing the craft shows, traveling, setting up shows and selling to boutiques, museums and galleries I once again changed my direction in the jewelry world and started teaching interested people how to go about creating and designing their own jewelry. I am presently teaching inspired individuals how to create jewelry but I am also running the business, selling local artists work and re-creating myself once again! Through all the years I have kept up with the wedding community with beautiful and creative wedding sets and bands. However, I have not been the most creative in my marketing and I am now working towards making myself more visible through sites such as this one.
I forgot one of the more important pieces of information. A year ago I was invited to become a Core Member of a wonderful group of indie wedding collaborators named The Wedding Hive! We, as a group, coordinate a small indie, Kansas City based, wedding event two times a year. We accept only wedding vendors that are based within a 3 hour driving distance from Kansas City.
