He's asked you to marry him and you said yes!  Congratulations!  This signals the beginning of a wonderfully exciting and beautiful time in both of your lives.  Now what do you do?  We suggest you start with the most important factor- setting the date!  Here are several points for you to consider as you pick the day and time for your wedding.  Think about your budget.  Be sure to keep in mind that some months are more expensive than others.  There are popular months (May through August, holiday weekends, pivotal dates like 11/11/11) some reception locations and vendors charge more - the good old supply and demand effect.  If you can wait for months and dates that are less in demand, you may be able to have your dream wedding for less money.  Also think about the season when choosing your date.  Be sure to allow time to plan for a specific location if you have chosen a date that coincides with a holiday like Christmas or busy seasons, like prom season.  It can give you both a theme and time for out of town guests to attend.  But be sure to check early and be ready to book early.  If you are on a fast track or have a demanding job, be sure to engage the services of a professional wedding consultant.  They can save you time and money and your sanity.
