If you’ve read any of my frequently asked questions, I define boudoir with the following words:
“The French are a romantic, confident and sexy bunch. Thus, it comes as no surprise the term “boudoir” originates from the French verb bouder, meaning “to pout.” Historically a boudoir referred to a woman’s
private bedroom or dressing room – a very intimate setting. Boudoir
photography does not always take place in a bedroom setting, but it is
romantic and intimate in nature, and should always delight in the
beauty of women.”
Boudoir photography is more than a woman in her skivvies, looking ravishing. Although trust me, this is nice. SWEET TOOTH Boudoir Photo is about FUN and SUGAR! OK, sugar is just a synonym for fun in this
context.
Beyond fun, boudoir photography gives you confidence. WHAT!? You are thinking- you want me to get half naked in front of a camera and feel good about it? It is an empowering thing, realizing you are sexy. You
are beautiful, even if you’ve forgotten, I’m telling you. And have
photographic evidence to prove it!
