Tips for shopping for your wedding dress

1) In order for your gown to match the style of your wedding don't begin shopping until you decide a date, time and location.
2) Be open minded and try on different styles of gowns to find out what is the most flattering for you.
3) Begin shopping at least 6 months prior to the wedding to allow for ordering and alterations.
4) Be sure to move around while trying on the gown. Try bending over and sitting down to ensure you will be comfortable wearing it all day.
5) Plan a budget for your wedding prior to gown shopping so you know how much is available to spend.
6) Choose a color that compliments your skin tone. Don't feel that you need to stick with the traditional white.
7) Bring along a strapless bra and nude colored underwear to wear while trying on gowns.
8) Go shopping with one or two important people. Larger groups can be overwhelming since there will be many different opinions.
9) Bring a camera. Take a photo of the dresses you like so you are able to think about it at home.
10) Visit several different bridal shops as each store will have different gowns and price ranges for you to choose from.
