There are some things that the wedding industry will not tell you. Yes, your wedding will be magical. However, it will also be the most exhausting day you have probably ever had. Most couples are very surprised to be as tired as they are when their wedding is over because no one talks about it. There are a few things you can do to help.

First, I recommend getting a good night's sleep the night before and sleep as long as you can on the day of your wedding. Also, do not take any medications you have not taken before. The last thing you want is to have a bad reaction on your wedding day.

Second, the more you do, the more tired you will be...so delegate freely to others. Your job is to relax and enjoy your day. there is nothing so complicated that someone else cannot handle it.

Last, this is a big one...don't let certain expectations get you down. For example, the expected romance the night of your wedding. Have a talk about allowing the night to be what it is and according to how you both feel. There is no shame in simply crashing after it's over. You will hopefully have a million nights together.

Finally, keep the big picture in mind. Anything that goes awry the day of cannot be rectified anyway, so just let it roll off your back and have a good time. At the end of the day, it is about being married and sharing that day with your friends and family. Problems usually make for funny stories later on anyway :)
