Wedding Reception Program Timeline Example

Here you can find the sample of wedding reception timeline. It's a part of wedding day timeline.

5-6pm	Cocktail Hour
	Guests check in, get their table numbers, and head to the cocktail hour to snack and mingle while the wedding party takes pictures.

6pm	Bride and Groom Entrance
	Guests head from the cocktail hour into the reception and find their seats.

6:10pm	Bride and Groom’s First Dance
	Live Band/DJ plays the bride and groom’s song

6:15pm	Father and Bride Dance
	Live Band/DJ plays the father and bride’s song

6:20pm	Groom and Mother Dance
	Live Band/DJ plays the groom and mother’s song

6:25pm	Welcome Speech from Bride and Groom

6:30pm	Prayer before dinner is served
	Prayer lead by Victor La Fontaine

6:30pm	Dinner is Served

8:30pm	Fun Dance Continues
	Live Band/DJ will play back upbeat songs

8:45pm	A Couple of Slow Songs
	Live Band/DJ will play slow songs

9:00pm	Back to More Upbeat Songs
	Live Band/DJ will play back upbeat songs

9:15pm	Cake Cutting
	Live Band/DJ announces the cake cutting Servers will serve the guests.

9:30pm	Bouquet Toss
	Live Band/DJ will announce and play soft music

9:35pm	Garter Removal and Toss
	Live Band/DJ will announce and continue to play soft music. If both tosses are done

9:45pm	Final Dance Set
	Live Band/DJ will play club/dance songs for younger guests and to make older people have fun watching

10:45pm	Speech from Bride and Groom

10:50pm	Final Bride and Groom Dance and Grand Exit

11:00pm	End of Wedding Party
