The Best Ways to Entertain Your Guest At A Wedding

One of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding is knowing how best to entertain your guests. A wedding should be a joyous occasion, but the planning stage can often be jaded by catering for them.

If you want your guests to have a good time, then it’s important to make sure that you have the right kind of entertainment. Thinking outside the box and adding personal touches can turn a good day into a great day. Here are some of my favourite ideas so far...

The first dance:

There are hundreds of videos of people’s first dances that have gone viral over the the past few years, why? Because they break tradition and are instead, well rehearsed dance routines that are intended to surprise the wedding guests.

This is a fun idea and can also bring yourself and your fiance closer together as a couple. Pick your favourite song and choose a dance routine that will really wow your guests. P.s. this is a great way to get yourself into shape for the big day!

Live band:

Live bands are always going to be better than having a DJ or a music playlist at your wedding. Live bands add a real sense of authenticity and atmosphere to your wedding that you just don’t get with a DJ.

Having a band playing at your wedding doesn’t have to break the bank either, lots of local undiscovered bands are often looking for the opportunity to play and make a little bit of a name for themselves, so why not kill two birds with one stone and look for somebody local. You can hold auditions and feel like one of the judges on X factor!

Glitter bar:

I recently went to a friends wedding and they had the most amazing idea. As well as having some musical entertainment, they also had a bar set up, where glitter makeup artists were getting all of the guests glittered up, it was great fun and even my partner got involved and had a glitter beard!

I think this is a really cool idea and will set your wedding aside from anything your guests will have ever experienced before!
