Attention all Inland Empire (So Cal) (wedding or events) vendors!!
If you live, service, have a business in or near the Inland Empire, you need to come to the AFWPI (Association for Wedding Professionals, Int'l) Inland Empire Chapter Mixers!! There are mixers once a month at various locations/venues/facilities around the Inland Empire and you can meet and network with many I.E. vendors from around the area!! If you don't have plans tonight, come to our 3rd mixer at the Chaffey College Chino Community Center in Chino! See flyer below for details and don't forget to RSVP by noon today (there is still time to RSVP and attend tonight)!!

What's in your emergency kit? any unique items that you found you have added because of a certain situation?

My friend Natalie Bradley of BrideAttraction.com is hosting a F*R*E*E call for vendors like you and me on the "5 Biggest Mistakes Wedding Vendors Make that Could be Killing Your Bridal Biz (and how you can avoid them)".
I'm definitely going to be on the call and thought I'd spread the word. Natalie is trying to reach out and help as many wedding vendors as possible in 2010 so that we can all thrive instead of just trying to survive.

I've already learned so much from her Bride Attraction System ... here's the link to sign up for the call on March 3rd - http://tinyurl.com/yk26m9h

See you there!

Heidi- www.efavormart.com has cheap table covers. I just purcahsed some for a show I'll be in next month. In my booth I'm setting up a mock reception table and showing a candy buffet. Brides like to see crative ideas and how you can help make their wedidng stylish. Setting up a mock reception table for each bridal show can get expensive. But I've learned a few tricks. Buy things you can reuse:
- a cheap set of 4 place settings and silverware (ie Ross, TJMaxx, Walmart).
- Purchase mostly clear glass items. They can easily suit any color theme if you use colored rocks/marbles, ribbon, or whatever flowers fit.
- purchase a few general color linens. Buying them will save you money of having to rent them each time. And you can easly "upscale" them with overlays or table runners.
- I like to use the DIY invitation kits from Michael's because there is usually enough supplies to make place cards, escort cards, an invitation, and reply card.
Tip: When you are getting a brides info, write a little note to yourself about that bride or something she mentioned. So that when you send an e-mail or make a call, your conversation/e-mail can be more personal and relevant to her.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
