The likes DO count.  There are personal and page likes.  Go see your likes, and you can use a pull down menu to see the pages like you!  Believe me, it odes help, and it shows that the page likes you for THEM too.

I have been liking a lot of your pages.. and receiving great feeback. Thank you:) I just came up with something else we can do. I just started tweeting about your facebook pages. It's a great way to get out there and not always talk about your own business. Just copy the URL and post it to twitter.
