It depends on how many hours. It also depends on if it is just the ceremony or the ceremony and reception, also it depends on the area - here is what I charge:

$500 - Wedding Rehearsal and Ceremony Direction
• Consultation with bride and groom
• Prepare a rehearsal and wedding day itinerary
• Attendance and direction at the rehearsal
• Attend, oversee, and direct the ceremony

$250 - Wedding Ceremony Direction
• Consultation with bride and groom
• Direct the ceremony
Wow that sounds good! I have often times did the Wedding Rehersal for free andCermony Direction, made time lines and called vendors to confirm times, and folded napkings and favors, and lit candles, and place menu cards, and had unlimited meetings and consults for 500.00, That is why I asked I want to raise my prices, but I'm bit scared with the economy the way it is.. I gave a quote the other day for Day of ,and I felt guilty.. and now it bugs me. Did I lose the sale..? I have often heard if your prices are to low then people think you dont provide a good service, but that not the case, I work my butt off. I love doing this.!
Thanks for the information Lindsey I really do appreciate you time!
That seems pretty fair. We are charging around $800 in Toronto and our prices are usually less then yours. Day of is really a few days before so add up all the hrs and it seems VERY fair to me.
Thank You Jennifer,

I appreciate the feed back! I think it's pretty fair..So I shouldnt feel guilty any more.
Don't feel guilty at all! Brides are looking to find the best wedding planner and they are paying for your service. If I have a bride that really wants to work with me but is hesitant because of the price, I might tweak it just a little to make them feel comfortable, but honestly it depends on the bride. If a bride comes in and says she has a $35,000 budget than I am not going to tweak, but if a bride comes in with a $10,000 or under than I might make some adjustments, especially because I just moved into a new area and have a bigger area to work with and I want that bride to tell her friends about the experience she has had. But again, that is just me - don't feel guilty about charging for doing a job that you love :)
