Thanks for the input, Dina! Where do you speak?

Congrats April on starting your new venture. Pricing is a big topic with lots of moving parts. Most folks shop their competitors & pick a number near theirs. Easy but not effective. What you want to doI is create your own pricing conversation. That way, you know how to set our number, clothe it in context that means something to the buyer and handle objections. Alho, when you get all the pieces right, price becomes a non-issue.

First start doing your homework. What's the average household income in our business service area and nearby? What's the demographic breakdown in terms of age and education. You want to get a snapshot of your potential clients.

A community that has more boomers will likely have good disposable income and children of marriageable age or know omeone who does. You want to determine what's the norm & where you fit in your area. The local biz librarian can be a big help. Reach out to your city government for reports on patterns of growth & change.

I'm hosting an event on how to say your price and you're welcome to join in. I'm also in the middle of developing a course on setting prices. Feel free to shoot me questions.

Warmly Dina

Hi everyone! I think I just sent a private message to everyone by accident. I am a relatively new planner and am trying to come up with a pricing strategy. Up to this point, I have been doing a lot of my work "pro bono" and am ready to start working for money! Any advice is helpful!

Thank You!

April
