A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
I was fortunate to be born to an artistic family. My father was a painter, and my grandfather photographer, oil painter, and renaissance man. Growing up in my grandparent's home, in Germany, for the formative years of my life, imbued me with a passion for travel, learning about other cultures, and photography.
It was from growing up in a beautiful and inspiring environment, that moved me to begin carrying my camera wherever I went.
I love capturing the intimate details beween people, and incorporating the environments around them. I try to keep all sessions simple and fun. Natural environments, available light, and allowing my subjects to be themselves. I become the invisible observer at times, not the photographer for which the client has to pose. The results are always a true representation of the portrait subjects. But, having the ability to be flexible in all things has gotten me more work.
I have the greatest job in the world. I seek out diversity, I love creativity and using my imagination. The best shoots are those in which I can engage ideas, vision, and the creative spirit. This is always a collaboration of sorts between me and my clients. Though I feel I am still just beginning, I have had many diverse subjects and clients. From weddings, to bands, comedy troupes, newborns, maternity, individual portraits, engagements, birthday parties, architectural, landscape, travel, pet, to still life. What an amazing journey it has been, and I can't say that I prefer one over the other. This is the best job in the world!
