Question for other Floral and Event Designers and Brides:  Are bridal shows worth the time, money and labor?  I have found most of my Clients through referrals but looking to increase my Client base.  I have looked into Advertising (online and print), Bridal Shows, netoworking organizations and sites such as Bridal Bar.  What are your thoughts?  I know word-of-mouth is best but think I need a little help.

My business is Parties & Petals and we can be found online at www.parties-petals.com.

We have done a couple of wedding shows over the years and believe that every now and then being seen at 1 is good but in overall not worth the time and money. What has been working for us recently is doing local "fresh markets" and decorating/design shows. This gives you a chance to be seen more regularly by your local market and by selling small floral item at these markets you pay for your advertising. Also by keeping up to date with your Social Networking such as blogging, facebook, twitter etc these days you must be seen online to get sold. Good luck and if you would like us to link you on our blog or facebook profile send me a message with your details. Our blog www.paradisoflowers.blogspot.com we have contacts on FB all over the world, will gladly help.
Thank you for the advice! I agree that smaller showcasing oportunities are more valuable. I will look into the shows and other markets. I have also been making more of an effort to keep up with my social networking.

Check us out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/partiespetals or on the web at www.parties-petals.com.

I look forward to reading your blog. :)
