In a world of give and take it is hard to find good options for getting your name out there without having to pay a lot of money. This is especially hard when you are just starting out. We are a small company and doing all we can by word of mouth and our friends. We also have our website, and craigslist (which can look so cheap), and we now Bridal Tweet (yay!). But just wondering if anyone had any other good suggestions for two eager wedding videographers and a photographer trying to get some gigs and their name out there?

Thanks for letting us know. We are always contacted by organisations such as these and it ends up being such a waste of time and effort when you receive no benefits at all.
I appreciate your message :)

Hi,

I am looking for some free listing websites in the UK... so far I have found
guidesforbrides.co.uk
weddingplanner.co.uk
onewomanbusiness.co.uk
freeindex.co.uk

If anyone knows of any others if they could post them that would be great!
Thanks

WEll, it is only a suggestion, but you need to find out if they have bridal luncheons in your surrounding area with Perfect Wedding Guide or other places, they usually hold these meet and greets once a month. It is strictly vendors within the industry and it usually only costs about $25. You can meet other vendors in the surrounding area and exchange business cards. Also contact the hotels etc around your area to see how to become their preffered vendor. Wedding wire is also a free site to post. I feel that networking with other professionals in the business is the best word of mouth though.
I am happy to do a link exchange with your business. I am a wedding bomboniere business and would be delighted to feature you on my website.
Go to our website www.flourishbomboniere.com.au and view our links page. I get about a hundred clicks to my site every week as our product is so unique! Every little bit counts!
There are also heaps of free websites and forums where you can advertise your business at no cost.

All the best.
Regards, Liz
wedding professionals can post their profiles and a resume at http://www.resellyourwedding.com/blog/wedding-professionals/, as long as they are not spammers/scammers...
I advertise for free at Gathering Guide, Eventective, Wedplan, com - and others I don't recall now. I found a lot by searching the web!

Also - share links with other local vendors if you have your own website. If you don't - create one - that's how most of my clients find me. I built it myself with Yahoo Site Builder.

Good luck!
