What Merchant Services Do You Use for your Website?

What is it that you are accepting payments for? Products, services, or...? I have used PayPal for my online transactions with processing credit/debit cards, as well as electronic funds transfers and for the most part I find it to work out just fine for me since I don't do a great deal of online payments. Amazon also has their own online payment processing that is very similar to PayPal. Good Luck!

I currently use 1st National but switched today to FTA which is a pass through company.  They only take vendors who have used merchant services for a while and have a good reputation.  1st National has been ok.  Their phone number is 800-554-4777.   I hope that this is helpful.

I used to also use authorize.net - I switched to just using paypal.  It was easy to set up an account which I have customers run thru my website and it's a lot cheaper than authorize.net.

Paypal- much cheaper. Only charge per use as aopposed to being charged a monthly fee.

I would definitely recommend PayPal. You can create a Merchant Account and add carts and buttons to your site. You can even add ordering pages that you can customize to match the look and feel of your website. If you are looking for an actual e-commerce solution, I would recommend CubeCart or Magento.

Try square.com if you have and iphone or android, especially if you are accepting payment in person.  It is 2.75% plus 15 ents per transaction that way, and the customer signs the screen of your phone with their finger so you have a signed receipt.  Then you can send them a text or email directly afterwards from the app.  They will send you the card swipe square for free, not even chaging you shipping.  It takes a little getting used to when swiping the card.

 

The only downfall is that it a little more expensive than PayPal for entered card numbers at 3.5% plus 15 cents per transaction.  But there is still no monthly fee.

 

If you are going to try it, request it quick since they are probably not going to be doing the free promotion for too much longer.

I use Paypal. You pay only transaction fee. No additional monthly fee unlike other cc companies or gateways, etc..
