I have 90% of my Brides out of the internet.. 50% wants to meet in person - the others, just email..not even a phone call. Payments thru Pay Pal, they come and pick it up, without any problems.

I agree with your statement about it making things easier and harder (from our end at least). It's easy to put information into a lot of hands for little $. But that face-to-face meeting makes it so much easier for us to truly get a potential…

Do you really get good wedding client's from Craig's List. I personally get a negative vibe. Anytime I've advetised for Chef's or to Rent out my Catering Kitchen - I get alot of responses ALL WRONG.

As an officiant I have very rarely performed a ceremony without meeting the couple face to face, at the very least, one time. Unless my clients call or e-mail me to perform their ceremony in the next day or two there is always a meeting first. The…

Annette Aaron replied to the discussion 'How do you spread the word about you to get more clients???'
Lelie, you are so right about a face to face meeting. If you have a venue - that's almost a built in face to face meeting and an easier "sell" Either they like the venue or they continue to search. The venue usually has a list of…

Annette Aaron replied to the discussion 'If Brides only knew......'
Ditto to all the comments. I'd like brides to think they cannot plan or make decisions just by email. Eye contact and a face behind the couple is very important.

Annette Aaron replied to the discussion 'The DIY Movement'
I've tried relentlessly to educate the DIY bride or the tight budget bride - to no avail. Some suggesions I've made have been similar or the same as the other comments. #1 is reduce the guest count. Why do couples feel they must have a…

I'm looking to partner with a wedding planner/wedding coordinator/venue. I own a boutique catering and events company (small but precious) and would like to expand my wedding business. I can offer anyone interested incentives. I'm located…

Excellent way of marketing. There is nothing like putting a face behind the voice or in these days behind the emails.

Annette Aaron replied to the discussion 'Facebook Question...'
This may sound really stupid. How does one go about getting a fan page on FB. FB people ask me all the time to be a fan. Is it an intrusion on someone's privacy to ask them to become a friend.? Thanks Annette

I'm still playing around with this as well. Trying to figure out which sites work and which don't. I also find that some brides find it easier to dismiss the notion of there actually being a real person on the other end. Recently I had a…

HOW DO I LOVE THEE?

VALENTINE'S DAY FROM A MAN'S POINT OF VIEW. After the Jets game on Sunday 1/24/10, I can start thinking about my game plan for Valentine's Day and how to make my significant other feel special.

Truth is I'll probably wait until the super bowl is over! Knowing my honey, she probably has decided on what we should do but when I offer my suggestions I know she’ll appreciate… Continue
