A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
I began planning my wedding as a bit of an "outsider." I never expected to get married, so I never dreamed of my wedding, even as a little girl. My fiance is the first (and only) person I ever considered marrying. Because of that I think I have a different perspective than many brides. For instance, what the bridesmaid dresses look like is more important to him than to me. I took my future mother-in-law to look for wedding dresses, but only after my fiance had to explain why I couldn't just wear a nice, pretty dress that I already owned. And in the end, he was with me when I found the dress I ended up buying (at a Brides Against Breast Cancer event). But I don't want it to seem like I am looking down on wedding planning, just the opposite. I admire the women who know exactly what they want, and I particularly admire the ones who know what they want AND how to get it done.
