Ginette Garrish commented on Christine Dyer's page 2 BIG Reasons to Publish Your Fees on Your Website
"I publish my basic price list in full because the brides and grooms of today want it all, but want to remain within their budget. It is much easier for them to decide what they can or can not afford, if they are able to calculate costs before they…"

"Very good points. I especially support # 5. If a client is taking a disproportionate amount of your time, she is taking you away from other clients who could benefit from your help. You can also be sure that if your client is a bridezilla, you are…"

Ginette Garrish replied to the discussion 'Would love to hear everyone's favorite songs for a Son and Mother dance for son's wedding.'
"I was thrilled to see Sunrise Sunset there. I love it, and find it soooooo appropriate for either the mother son dance, or for the parents of the bride and groom when they join the bride and groom on the floor for the first combined family dance."

Ginette Garrish commented on the blog post 'DIY Friday: Ribbons and Flowers'
"Very cute! With all the nice pots available at dollar stores or Walmart, these are an inexpensive alternative for centerpieces, and just changing the flowers or color of ribbon will customize them to your event. Just a great idea! They would be nice…"

TIPS FOR INVOLVING FAMILY MEMBERS IN YOUR WEDDING

Have younger siblings or cousins assigned to age appropriate jobs. A preteen can help place pew markers, or circulate a guest book, or be invited to the shower as a guest and a helper. I have had nieces and nephews as young as 8 or 9 work together with an adult to serve food and beverages to guests with no mishaps.photo by Kim Harris, Eyemagine PhotographyTwo young teens can work…See More

Ginette Garrish replied to the discussion 'Do you publish your fee's or not?'
"It is definitely a question with no right answer. For professionals whose services vary in value depending on their level of talent and experience, such as photographers, musicians, etc. listing definite prices would be virtually impossible, given…"

Ginette Garrish replied to the discussion 'How much do you ask for up front?'
"I am in rentals, and I require 50% to hold your items for your date with the balance and a 20% damage deposit due two weeks before the event date. This has worked very well for me, and customers have not seemed to have a problem with it. The biggest…"

Ginette Garrish replied to the discussion 'What should you expect from a event vendor?'

Hello,

Welcome and thank you for being one of the first members of this exciting new community. So let’s get this party started!

Free Advertising Opportunity for You! Each week, the six BridalTweet members who Invite the most people will be Featured on our homepage and will appear first in our community section. Feel free to invite Brides, Vendors, and Twitter Followers.

It is so great to have you here because of all of the wedding expertise that you bring to our community. I encourage you to share that expertise with all of us. You can do this by starting your own BridalTweet Blog, starting a Discussion or by joining a Group. You can also ask other Members to be your Friends, and start talking to other people who are also passionate about weddings.

Please keep checking back in over the next few weeks as we build our community. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.
