An outdoor wedding can be beautiful. If you have space in your backyard or parents back yard it can also save money on catering, bar service, decor etc.
You do have to supply tents, tables, chairs etc but the tradeoff can be well worth it.
You can also incorporate some unique and creative ideas that are hard to pull off in a rented venue.
You can ask family members aunt's grandmas. sisters and cousins to bring their favorite cookie, you can then create a custom cookie buffet with all family recepies. Have cute boxes created for guest to enjoy take home cookie bags.
Instead of a full service bar have a specialty drink butlered to guest upon arrival. Serve a really nice red & white wine and specialty beers during the event. You could now also afford a champagne toast with all the money saved!
