the other night a bride and groom explained that they were looking for just the right song for a teenaged family member to sing during their ceremony. a challenge? i think so! my husband and i spent about four hours on youtube and itunes trying to find interesting and original songs that would work for them. i realized that they would also be great first dance songs. here they are (and a few others). let me know what you think!

Every state in the United States requires a license to marry. First you apply for your license and then you get married. Both parties that are getting married along with the Officient must sign a certified copy of the license. Some states require a witness. I haven’t been doing very good on the weekends. I was really good for a few weeks then BAM. My weight is still down but I have been gaining on the weekend again about 3 pounds. Well, since my last post I went on vacation for a week in Myrtle Beach. I took some of my own foods to help me with my healthy eating. I had lost 9 lbs at the time my vacation started. When I was first married 36 years ago I was 18 yrs old and I had no worries about my weight. I’m 5’2” and weighed about 110-115. Today I’m 54 and my weight is 124 lbs, not too bad. I want to get down to 120 lbs. I don’t remember girls or guys trying to lose so much weight 30+ years ago for their weddings. Well, I'm still doing good even over the weekend. My weight is down 2 more lbs, 126. I finished reading the Pritikin book and it was really good and a very sensible food plan to follow, not diet. It is real eating with lean protein, fruits, veggies and whole grains. The whole food plan revolves around eating very little fat, under 10%. I eat about 1200 calories a day so I should be eating 120 or less calories from fat. All food labels are marked with "calories from fat". I have no problem…

A bad, bad, bad week. My weight is up to 131 & it's the highest I have been in a few years. I have no control over my eating & I'm so tired of always fighting my eating habits, I love to eat. Things are not good, not good at all. Weight was up agian this week to 129. Then party Friday, Saturday and Sunday for father's day. Too much good food to pass up. Today I feel horrible.
