I know a couple who is getting married April 14, 2012 and both are trying to lose weight.  The three of us are doing our own thing and of course the guy looses the most weight.  He has a good built and was in
the reserves for our country, so he is in pretty good shape but has gained the weight since he has been home.  She is so excited for her wedding and wants everything to be perfect from her weight to the decorations and specially her dress. When I was married at 18 years old I never got caught up in all that
stuff.  I borrowed a dress, went with the hall that my mom picked out, which I didn’t like, and she really planned everything.  She said, “Since I am paying for everything, I get to choose whatever I want”.  Between my mom and being a young bride, I really didn’t care about anything except getting married and getting out of the house.  I’ve been married 36 years now so I guess everything worked out pretty good. I struggle with my weight now after two kids and too much eating but I have a great husband, two great boys and two beautiful granddaughters that I love so much.  I’m avoiding my weight this week since I had an all out eating disaster this weekend so hopefully I’ll be back on track next week.  Over the weekend within two hours I ate three huge chocolate chip homemade cookies from a local grocery store, two sugar cooking and a half of a pumpkin roll, it was not pretty.  I wish I could say to myself how I really feel at the time of these binges. I feel horrible inside and out when I eat bad, I’m mad at myself and I really do feel good at the end of a day when it’s a good eating day.  But by the time I get those cookies down and pumpkin roll or whatever I am eating that little talk I would like to have with myself never happens until it’s too late and I’m stuffed and have a stomach ache.  It’s a new day and I have positive thoughts.
