Wedding Vendor Tips to Earn Extra Money

{Sponsored Blog}

Wedding Professionals:

I’m constantly looking for new ways to help you grow your business. One easy way for you to earn extra money is to participate in one or more wedding affiliate programs.

How do wedding affiliate programs work exactly? In many cases, all you have to do is place a banner on your wedding website or wedding blog. When someone clicks on that banner, they will be taken to another wedding website. If that person makes a purchase at that other website within 30-120 days (timing varies depending on the affiliate program), then you will earn a commission for that sale. There are countless wedding affiliate programs to choose from. Here are some tips that I’ve come up with for selecting a program. Choose a wedding affiliate program that...

  1. Provides additional benefits to your customers. At the same time, ensure that the offering will not compete with the services that you already provide. By expanding your offerings with a wedding affiliate program, you are giving brides more of a reason to come to your website.
  2. Adds credibility to what you already offer brides. Enhance your own brand and reputation by selecting a wedding affiliate program that has its own trustworthy, highly regarded wedding brand.
  3. Has a strong reputation for paying its affiliates. According to the online marketing blog, GrowMap, it doesn’t matter how high an affiliate program’s commission is if they don’t pay you. Before using an affiliate program, search for online reviews (try the program name and the word "scam"), or any other information you can locate.

There is one wedding affiliate program that has recently caught my eye and meet the criteria above.
  • Wedding Mountain Earn up to 11% in commissions. WeddingMountain.com is one of the largest online wedding supply and accessory stores, which will add value and selection to your own site. Wedding accessories include wedding cake toppers, wedding guest books, flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillows, wedding albums, bridal shoes, wedding favors, unity candles, wedding cameras and much more. The average order size for a purchase at Wedding Mountain is $80. LEARN MORE>

I encourage you to check out the wedding affiliate programs that I have just mentioned. Choose a wedding affiliate program that is right for you, sign up and then post an affiliate banner or link on your website.

PhotoOpp Bride Edition (a photo-sharing app) has an affiliate program, too. We work mostly with wedding consultants/planners, photographers, and venues that have brides that might want to use our app at their wedding.  Basically, you refer your brides to our service and you get 50% revenue share. Or, you can choose to offer the app as an add-on to your own services, or include it, and pay for the service yourself (still getting the 50% share). More info is on our website http://ourphotoopp.com, or I'm happy to answer any questions.
