Wedding Professionals:

As wedding professionals, it is critical that we keep up with the latest wedding trends. Having this knowledge helps us to stay current and it gives us a competitive edge. It equips us with the right information to deliver the most creative recommendations and solutions to brides.

With countless online wedding resources and hundreds of wedding blogs, where does one go to stay up to date on these trends?

To help you with this challenge, I’ve scoured the web to find the most innovative and stylish wedding blogs. I’ve created a collection of favorites and each week, I will showcase one wedding blog on BridalTweet’s homepage.

The purpose of featuring a different wedding blog each week is two-fold. First, this will attract and appeal to more brides. (So pass the news along to the brides that you know!). Secondly, it will act as a resource for you, providing a variety and rotation of trends, styles, and influential wedding voices.

I hope you enjoy getting to know the wedding bloggers that I will be featuring. Some of them will include Green Wedding Shoes, Lucky Me, Swoon Over It and many others. Please visit BridalTweet’s homepage and enjoy the wedding inspiration that these talented bloggers have agreed to share with our wedding community.

Helpful post! I always read other wedding blogs and bridal magazines for the latest and greatest. You might also want to set up Google Alerts with wedding-related keywords to funnel pertinent information right to your inbox. There are a number of wedding-related TV shows full of trendy information, and I check out the Web sites of gown designers and top event planners from time to time to see what's new.

I'm always online checking out what's going on, blogs are great and Twitter of course. What I find very useful is wedding forums/chat rooms because you get to hear from the brides themselves what they're planning and what the trends are.

The main thing I recommend is using a Blog Reader tool. I use Google Reader. Basically you can "subscribe" to all the blogs and feeds you like and put them all in one place. So instead of having to surf to each individual URL to see if there are updates, your reader will show you which of your blogs has a new update, and you can read it directly in your reader.

loving this post, and all of the comments are so true - add magazines! Especially when you're traveling, it's worth checking out other countries' - or even other local - bridal magazines to give you a bigger picture. Recently I had a stop-over in Ireland and found the quality of their weddings and their magazines very inspiring! Twitter of course is another one - follow good folks, they often link to up to date gorgeousness.

I agree thanks this is great other countries have awesome ideas and unique as well. I always look at the west coast because eventually it comes to the east... Thanks for sharing your knowledge.... Much appreciated

I recently attended the Annual Wedding Planners Conference held at The Grove (near Watford) where the theme of the day appeared to be Trends for 2010. Topics included make-up & hair trends, flower trends, fashion trends and the one that really got my attention was the food trends...some of them were quite extraordinary. I also liked the speaker's tip about working with caterers and how important it is to challenge them, saying 'be mindful of caterers that don't ask questions!
