SAVING MONEY ON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IS A SNAP!

We're all about saving big bucks for an ultra-luxe wedding here at the Deal Diva Bridal Guide http://dealdivabridalguide.com. However, many of you have expressed fear that hiring high-styled, cutting-edge photojournalists comes with an equally high price tag. Not so! DDBG interviewed Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Kelly Guenther, (critcally acclaimed by New York Magazine as one of New York City's top wedding photographers), to help you save money while still

employing the best possible photographer to capture the day's events and spirit to ensure that you re-live every emotion when looking back on your photos for years to come!

What's the first tip you have for brides when it comes to choosing a photographer?

Most everything you're spending money on will only last one day. Ask yourself, is that one item really more important than having photos that will last a lifetime? What's it worth to have photos of your grandma doing the robot dance? So it will pay in the long run to hire the best photographer you can find.

What about saving money?

Buy the most basic package instead of a deluxe package. Afterall, what does it matter how many 8x10's or albums you get if you don't like the photography? Prints and albums

can come later. You may also want to consider "registering" for your photographer as you would for fine china! Your friends and family can chip in to pay for all or part of your photographer. I've found that friends and family want to give you a gift that you really want, just tell them that what you really want is amazing photography!

Here's a look at a sampling of Kelly Guenther's photography:

DDBG TIP:

To further cut back on costs, cut back on the hours-- instead of 8 hours, go for 4 hours. Also, you may want to "front-load' the reception to catch significant moments-- do the dances, toasts and cake-cutting first.

Another tip is to hire someone else from the photgrapher's "team" whose fees may be lower.

So, top wedding photographers can hit you with their best shot--at the best price!
