{MoscaPhoto Engagement Session!} Traci & Chad Rockin' Portland's Eastbank Esplanade!

What can we say about our new friends Traci & Chad?

Nothing but great things! They are in love, fun, funny, and beautiful; plus, yesterday (when we did the shoot) was Chad's birthday! Happy birthday Chad!! ;)

Their wedding will be on August 14th, 2010 (Josh's Birthday!) at Camas Meadows Golf Club, Camas WA.

I know that a "sneak peek" blog post of a shoot should only have a handful of images as a "tease"... but yesterday's engagement [break-the-ice] session with them was SO perfect and SO fun that we simply can't narrow down what to show! Soooooo... this sneak peek post is a longer one than usual! Hope nobody minds! ;)

This is a side of town we not often go to. Not sure why. Its beautiful over there: the Eastbank Esplanade.

We met up at 4:30 under the two giant Weeping Willows by the Hawthorne Bridge, on the East side of the river. Started off with the trees, the floating dock, the trains, the overpasses, even Portland's Firefighters! That's right! Josh asked the firemen if they could open the garage up for us to use the trucks for Traci & Chad's photos and they said: "of course!". Just an added little photoshoot backdrop bonus we hadn't planned on using! FUN!

Then we walked all the way to the Morrison Bridge, all along the gorgeous path, looking for photogenic and fun places to stop and shoot. Our awesome photo karma even had the Morrison Bridge'd draw-bridge open up for a barge that was making its way through! After two hours passed, we realized we were all starving! So we stopped shooting and decided to go to our favorite Italian restaurant on NW 21st & Flanders to grab some food, a drink and to chit chat for another couple of hours!

We are serious when we say that with every single new couple we add to our summer wedding season, we also gain new friends. Everyone we meet, we end up bonding with in ways more deep than in a simple working relationship kind of way. The confidence and the openness of this kind of relationship is a perfect way for wedding photography to be even more smooth and fun and casual. We broke-the-ice with them for sure!

Here are a few of the images from the engagement session, with SO many more to come! :)
