Hello Wedding Professionals,
I need your help! I'm preparing a blog post that will be published this month, which will be called: 2016 Wedding Predictions. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what those predictions and trends will be. I'll pick the 10 best predictions, and I'll feature 10 wedding businesses!
If I choose your prediction, I'll be sure to mention your business name and link to your website. So, this is a great way for you to get a ton of free exposure for your business.
Here's what I need you to do...
Here's an example...
2016 Weddings Will Experience Dramatic Opulence. Lush, romantic linens and floral arrangements set the tone for an opulent affair. When designing, you want to add that
"drama" piece - whether it be in your intricate table linens, a gleaming candelabra, bride and groom chairs, or hey, even a wall of flowers! Also, keep the look consistent. Keep centerpieces of the same height, one style of chairs, and lush tablescapes. There is a wonderful tone of softness in these looks. In the picture to the left we see a dramatic, visually stimulating table. But look closer - doesn't the decor convey romance and a certain sense of whimsical? The "Dramatic Opulence
wedding trend is all about creating an experience within the event.

And here's a look at last year's 2015 wedding trends predictions.
Thanks in advance for your help. I can't wait to see what you think will happen to weddings in the New Year!

The Vacation Wedding
Busy couples and their busy guests will continue to choose a destination wedding in an incredible location like Anguilla, where they can tie the knot AND treat themselves and their family and friends to a dream Caribbean vacation. Whether couples are paying for the wedding or guests are on their own, a destination wedding maximizes everyone's time and minimizes dollars. Private villas can serve as both the wedding venue, and a convenient/affordable lodging
solution. A romantic ceremony on a villa's oceanfront terrace at sunset, is the perfect end to a few amazing "vacation" days of kite surfing, snorkeling, beach hopping, golf, "mashing sand" (aka dancing) to chill island music, enjoying just one more rum punch, and noshing seafood so fresh it practically jumps off your plate.

Lots of purple; many shades. As a pianist, my goal is to match the bride's colors. Over the past years, I have played several weddings where the color was purple. I believe this color trend will continue. The pictures I am showing are from a ceremony this spring. The wedding was outdoors.

Although we have loved the Photo Booth Craze for the last few years, in the future, we can already see an increase in Step and Repeat Photography, which offers guest not only a perfect preservation of them looking their best, but entertainment and the perfect wedding favor.
In 2016, we will also see an increase in flip books, open air booths and green screens.

I think that naked wedding cakes will be big in 2016.

As a UK & Italy Destination Wedding specialist we often assist couples through their legal requirements which can sometimes cause some apprehension for couples. 2016 will see a shift towards a greater number of symbolic ceremonies (no legal bearing). The complexity and changing legal requirements for international couples can often mean couples are not able to meet the requirements or provide the necessary documentation easily. For example UK citizens who are resident outside of the UK must now give notice in the UK or in Italy. Depending on where they are based this can add to the expense of the wedding. Symbolic ceremonies are a perfect option as they can be designed around the couple, their personality, beliefs. aspirations, outlook. They are also very inclusive involving family and friends in the couple's commitment and celebration. Deciding upon a symbolic ceremony will also open up where and when the ceremony can take place, sunrise to sunset, beach location to woodland. Already there is a shift in mindset with couples seeing the symbolic celebrant and the "marriage" and the legal aspect (signing the register is the paperwork). The couple's home country legal requirements can be taken care of either before or after the symbolic. So think Angelina and Brad in France, George Clooney and Amal in Venice. As well as an increase to symbolic ceremonies there will also be an increase to outside of peak season weddings - winter weddings in Italy - an increase is city weddings or out of season coastal weddings for that extra romance of having a whole location all to yourselves, just like our couple who married in southern Italy in December.
