It looks like more couples are selecting to have their wedding on a Sunday.  What's your take on that??

Sunday weddings are becoming more popular especially when it's a long weekend. Brides can also take advantage of some savings as well.  I try to do my best in getting the bride to use some decor from the Saturday night's wedding to help reduce their decor costs.
To save money many of them selecting Sunday date. Wedding providers are offer their services on sunday
I think the economy is forcing couples to take a hard look at their financial situation and encouraging them to choose less sort after days to have a wedding so they can possibly spend the money else where

I agree Caren, I hosted networking events and normally I have them on Sunday because it cost-effective.

Additionally, venues have a better deal on Sunday that's why wedding are held that day.

I like the idea of a Sunday wedding which is what I'm doing.  It is a big savings and you could have an afternoon into evening ceremony.  Unfortunately we cannot keep any of the flowers from the evening before.  The venue makes each event discard everything the night of to make room for the approaching event.
Sunday weddings have always been popular with some cultures and religions. Now that more Catholics and Christians don't always see the need to marry in a church it's becoming an option for them as well.
Also if the couple's heart is set to have a church wedding, many resorts have within their premises a church or small chapel, at least this is what is happening in The Riviera Maya, so couples that are planning a destination wedding  have more options.
What are church ministers saying about Sunday weddings.
Here in Bakersfield California Sunday weddings tend to be for two main reasons money or Saturday was booked.  Usually the months of April and May is the one with most Sunday weddings.
Majority of my relatives and friends weddings have been on a Sunday. It was more rare for me to see a Saturday or Friday wedding.
I don't see why Sunday weddings were ever considered undesirable. Is there a religious reason for that? It seems to me if you're going to have a daytime wedding, a Sunday afternoon lets you have the whole two days before to prepare and get out-of-town guests settled.
Sunday Weddings have always been popular due to the lower cost of venue, and vendors.  You can get a considerable discount on services and typically the event is a shorter duration.  Very popular on holiday weekends where events can take place all weekend.  This tends to be popular with the DIY Bride who is saving money by doing alot of things herself.
