I wanted to know, how many times should you (the vendor) contact a bridal lead?

How bad do you want it?  In my opinion.... the key here is to not be a spammer, put yourself in the clients' shoes, sympathize with them, NEVER be rude, always use positive language e.g. sure, yes, absolutely, sorry to bother you, I'd be happy to, how can I help. AND THEN.... follow every lead to the end; until they say yes, or no thank you.  I've contacted clients 6 or 7 before they said "thanks for your email, and sorry for not getting back to you, things have been so busy lately...."  If someone goes through the trouble to find your website, send you an email then they are obviously interested.  What's not obvious is - how full is their email inbox, how good they are at response times, or simply how busy they are.  For those of us who've planned a wedding, we all know that it can be a very busy time of life.  Clients often thank me for staying in touch.  I make it easy for them.  They don't have to worry about finding a photographer because when ever they need me, my email isn't too far down in their inbox.
Imagine that studios will contact clients at the end of each day.  Whoever has made an enquiry on the website will get a phone call to try and arrange a meeting.  Visit

Contact twice....max.  Otherwise you'll look desperate.  Brides these days are savvy.  If they want you, they'll get back to you.  Don't appear desperate.

For the low end bride its low quality low price only. Its only the price however many followups.
My answer is not based on the fact I am in this business, but because it worked very well for me.  I send greeting cards as a follow-up for .62 cents a card plus postage.  I don't even write the cards out.  They are printed, addressed, stamped & mailed for me.  Why do I send a greeting card, because 98% of greeting cards get opened and read.  Email, for me, is a bit impersonal and ends up deleted or in a spam folder.  I've tried it; it didn't work.  Direct mail correspondence also has not worked for me.  The greeting cards have.  The bridal show I attended gave the list on an excel spreadsheet.  I easily uploaded it into my system, created a form card with a marketing incentive, and sent out a batch of 500 in 5 minutes.  I got a great response.  Three months later, I repeated the process with one click and had another great response.  One month later, I did it again to the same group and got another great response.  I use a greeting card system because it works.
That is a great idea! I agree that you lose personal touch with the client through email, or they just report you as spam and you are looked over.  When you say you created a form card are you talking about your greeting card? Interested to hear more.

When a bride uses my enquiry form (splashed on several of my website pages) I send either I'm un/available email which has current offer details and asking them if they would like to come and meet me. When a couple has come down to view albums etc I would then normally follow it up a week later with an email asking them whether it's okay to release their date. I'm quite fortunate as I probably book 75% of the couples I actually meet. I don't think I've every hounded someone with telephone calls... The laid back approach works for me!

Wow! I am shocked at the number of people that only follow-up twice!

We keep each bride in our database and send them our weekly newsletter until their wedding date has passed. I can't tell you how many people have booked with us that met us over a year ago at a bridal show. I had a bride that booked with us last summer who met us two years prior at a show!

 

I don't think the Vendors will contact us.We have approach them and fulfill our needs using the money.If we register in any vendors site,May be contact you.If anyone needs the whole resources of wedding,then they can use the wedding planner iPhone app and get gain from it.
