Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can put my mind at rest.  We have a wedding party of 5 travelling to NYC frm the UK to get married on 10.10.10.

We are getting married in the evening, so hope to go out to dinner soon after.  I am worried that I am going to feel silly wearing my wedding dress in a New York restaurant!  Do other couples do this?  I really don't want to feel awkward on my wedding day.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

My sister had her ceremony & reception at a restaurant and I have planned other couple's wedding in a restaurant. Speaking as a native New Yorker very few things are considered strange in my city. Wearing a wedding dress is definitely not on the list Congrat's and enjoy your day!
Thanks Caren, you have put my mind at rest. Would you be able to recommend any restaurants?
I agree with Caren. I lived in NYC for the past 10 years - and anything goes. You will be the center of attention...which is perfect!
Hi Christine,

Phew! I am relieved. I can't wait to visit NYC again, its been our plan to get married there since we first visited.

Thank you.
That's not an easy question for a native New Yorker :) - tell me the cuisine and neighborhood you are interested in and approximate price range for food - this is NYC if you lived here a year you would never eat at the same place twice;

Once you narrow it down for me a bit, I can recommend some great places for you. Did you want to eat out in the open or are you interested in a restaurant with a private room?
I think the main restaurant would be better. There are only 5 in our party so I think we would rattle around in a private room.

We are getting married in Bryant Park, so anywhere nearby/midtown. Someone recommended Tony DiNapoli near Times Square?

Price wise it doesnt really matter, but we do like decent portions so no where too fancy where we might go hungry! We really like Italian food and nice desserts.

Thanks
I like Italian food too. Could you please some great restaurants?
