The best part about having your wedding at Punta Cana is that you can start your honeymoon right away!

Norse bridal couples went into hiding after the wedding, and a family member would bring them a cup of honey wine (Mead) for 30 days. Which is how we got the honeymoon — we celebrated weddings with one moon’s worth of honey wine. The history of Mead: Mead is thought to be the oldest alcoholic beverages known to man. It was discovered by accident, when some thirsty hunter-gathers discovered an upturned beehive filled with rainwater. They drank the sweet water completely unaware of what fermentation and alcohol were. It was in a quest to replicate this experience the art of mead-making was begun. Unfortunately, fermentation was not understood until the mid 1800’s.
