Newsmaker

Based out of Flint, MI, the band, Newsmaker began making a name for itself 25 years ago performing in some of Flint’s hottest clubs – Benjamin’s, The Nightingale and Network. Led by drummer, Perry Joseph and fronted by his sister, Kori Roberts, the band has become a local legend. Their versatility and charisma are two main elements that have successfully sustained them through the years. They are one of the few bands that can totally rock the house in a nightclub setting or perform Frank Sinatra and Phantom of the Opera at a more elegant event. Newsmaker and its members have performed with many national artists including Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Badfinger, Snap, Martha McBride and Grand Funk Railroad.
