A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
I never created a “wedding binder” as a teen and I was never the all-planned-out-just-add-groom type of girl. I never asked for Prince Charming and I never wanted to be a Princess, not even for “the day.”
I blog about my journey as I discover and celebrate the joys of planning a wedding and a starting a marriage!
By day, I am an event planner and by nite, I am The Nearlywed, sharing my experiences as a professional planner planning the biggest event of my own.
All of this while managing a budget 1/3 of the average wedding cost and being a Type 1 diabetic. I find that there is not a lot of support out there for brides trying maintaining their health and sanity while wedding planning! I hope to bring about a new twist to wedding blogs by writing more from a conversational aspect rather than inspirational aspect. And to show the wrold that vegas weddings are no longer about Elvis and drive-thru chapels.
On my blog, I am also starting a segment called "HISpiration" where my groom pipes in with what really goes on in the head of the groom. And if he really cares about pin stripes or pintucks.
You will see the good, bad, ugly and stunning with me! I’ve already planned over 400 weddings….let’s see how I do with my own.
