Hawaii has some of the finest golf courses in the world. Today I would like to focus on golf courses on the islands of Maui, Lanai, and Moloka’i.
All have countless panoramic views of the ocean and island scenery.
Kaanapali Golf Course is host to Champions Skins Game. It is located in the resort area on the west side of Maui. The 2 courses here are the Kaanapali Kai and the…

Couples Resorts, the original all adult resort. In 1949, late owner, Abe Issa, opened the first resort in Jamaica to be opened year around. This resort known as Tower Isle soon became popular with luminaries from Hollywood and beyond. As popularity grew, Mr. Issa founded the idea of an all-inclusive, all adult resort in 1978 calling this renowned resort, Couples Resort Ocho Rios.

In the age of the internet I am frequently asked “do people still use a travel agent?”
My response is “the smart ones do!”
In my years in the travel industry I have found just because something looks good online doesn’t mean that it is going to actually look like that when you check in.
I found that the photos you see online are seldom what you can expect when you check in! Website…

Not all resorts are created equally!Excellence Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa is an elegant, luxury, all adult, all inclusive resort just minutes from the Cancun Airport. A little slice of heaven.
This is not the first time I stayed at an Excellence Resort, so I was curious if this experience would be as nice. Happily, the experience was even better, surpassing my expectations.
Upon arrival to the resort we were immediately…

We often immediately think of the Sonoma and Napa area when grapes and more importantly wine comes to mind. In reality, we have so many local wineries in our backyard spanning from the Peninsula, to the North Bay, and even in the East Bay. These wineries range from small family vineyards to large generations old estates. So often overlooked, these local wineries make a great option for your “staycation” wedding spot, and an easy way to cut down…

Choosing to have a destination wedding can be quite a liberating experience. The idea of having a small, intimate ceremony in a tropical setting is something that is becoming more and more appealing to engaged couples around the world. Not only are destination weddings more affordable, but they are less stressful as well. Since far-away weddings are typically harder to self manage, wedding planners provide the wedding party with the confidence…

One question I get a lot from couples looking to book a pre-packaged destination wedding is why should we book through a wedding planner instead of a travel agent? That is a very good question and I must admit if I wasn’t a wedding planner it’s a question I would also ask.
Here are 8 reasons why you should be using a certified destination wedding planner to book your pre-packaged wedding.
1.) We understand weddings. We can look at a resorts pre-packaged wedding and tell…

Well engagement season is here and suddenly I am like a little kid on Xmas Eve.
I know that the all the statisticians of this industry say that 70% of couples who get engaged do it between American Thanksgiving and Valentines day with the bulk of those couples saying "OMG, YES YES, I LOVE YOU YES" during those crucial two days that surround Xmas. So now it's a bit of a waiting game for me. Which couples will want to hire me as their wedding planner? What will those couples be like?…

Although I focus on planning all sorts of weddings one thing I love is a challenge. I guess that's one of the reasons the challenge of planning Jewish weddings in communities with little or no Jewish community gives me a bit of a thrill.
The destination wedding industry is growing by leaps and bounds. At this point almost everyone has either been invited to a destination wedding, or known someone who has had one. What do you do if you want to have one and the unique religious or…

The voice on the other end of my phone was angry, to say the least.
It was a friend of a friend who had just gotten married. The person was distressed; he just couldn’t understand why his wedding photographer had provided him with a CD of low-resolution wedding photos (all of which, to his great annoyance, were water-marked with the photographer’s logo). So of course, he couldn’t send any of his wedding photos via email to his friends and family. Furthermore, he was then informed…

If you are getting married abroad, then the usual wedding preparation checklists will not be entirely appropriate for you. Not only do you have different things to organise, but you also have to do many things from a distance, and some things much further in advance than you would if you were getting married closer to home. Some things to consider are:
1. Paperwork and legal requirements
2. Guests - they will have to book time off work, buy tickets and reserve hotels, unless you…
