Winter Wedding Warm Ups . . .

It’s been a bit chilly here in Colorado and even though we don’t have snow here in Denver our beautiful and majestic rocky mountains are finally getting a generous coating of white!  Can you say “SKIING”.  Even though the weather can be bitterly cold many brides choose to get married outside because Colorado offers such an amazing backdrop.  For destination weddings it’s a must to show your guests the surrounding beauty. …

Wow ‘Em with a Non-traditional Wedding Bouquet . . .

Where does it say you must have the standard issue bridal bouquet? Exactly, no where!!  Your dress isn’t the only thing that can make a statement when you walk down the aisle.  Think outside of the garden and get creative.  Here are a few to get your creative juices flowing . . .…

{Real Colorado Wedding} Britney & Nick . . .

We were honored to be part of Britney and Nick's wedding celebration this past July. They chose the Estes Park, Colorado venue Della Terra Mountain Chateau and it couldn't have been more perfect for their vision. Despite a torrential down pour before the ceremony and during the cocktail hour nothing could put a damper on this special day and the fun had by everyone in…

It's Beginning to look alot like Christmas . . .

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – and feel like it too!  This time of year we are all decorating, baking, wrapping, partying, mingling, snuggling, DIY’ing and so much more.  While on my daily walk of Pinterest I found so many images that made me warm and fuzzy and I just had to share them with you today.  May you be inspired and feel the joy and of the holiday season!…

To Veil or Not To Veil . . .

I love the traditional veil, don’t get me wrong.  But I am also a sucker for girly, frilly, flirty, flowers and hair adornments that sparkle. If you can’t completely let go of the veil all together (especially if it holds sentimental value) perhaps it was worn by your mother on her wedding day or it’s made of lace from your grandmothers dress, I get it and those traditions are priceless.  Why not mix it up a little at the reception and wow your guests with a…

Who Ever Said Three Is a Crowd . . .

Perhaps they meant three is a "crowd-pleaser"! That's right, I am talking about dessert trios in many shapes and sizes. There are so many delectable flavor combinations, sometimes it's just too hard to choose - so don't - serve them all! Step outside the box of a traditional tiered wedding cake and mix it up a little with these delightful examples.…

Candlesticks aren't just for candles anymore . . .

I am sure you can picture candlesticks on a mantel glowing with tall tapered candles illuminating the room with a warm romantic glow. It's also fairly easy to envision a beautiful table scape with candlesticks every so gracefully flowing down the center of the table at varying heights with candles of different shapes and sizes adding subtle beauty to the surrounding flatware.

But forget about the "typical" uses for candlesticks if just for a moment, and let your imagination…

Apple of My Eye . . .

With school starting in literally days, and the heatwave continuing across the nation,  lately as an escape I find myself daydreaming of  chilly, crisp fall weather (my favorite time of year) where the familiar scent of spice, pumpkin and apple surround me.  Of course It also makes me think of Fall weddings and how beautiful they can be with the traditional colors of orange, red, brown, burgundy, yellow just to name a few.  Well if you are in the process of planning a Fall wedding or perhaps…

Red, White, and Blue . . .

In honor of our country’s celebration of it’s Independence, The Fourth of July, I thought it fitting to honor our red, white and blue heritage and share some beautiful visions I have found lately.  I hope you get some patriotic inspiration and perhaps it inspires you in planning your next celebration whether it be a wedding, a backyard get together, engagement or a moment spent day dreaming.  I hope you enjoy! …

Transformers . . .

And we aren’t talking the kind you find in movies or the toys our children play with.  We are talking about little details that can transform your wedding day look from white and traditional to a total WOW factor!  As in WOW . . . look at those shoes, WOW . . . look at that makeup, WOW . . . look at her hair, I think you get the idea. Not Your Mother's Wire Hanger . . .

You pay special attention to every little ”detail” of your wedding day.  Your hair and makeup are perfection, your nails and toes are impeccably painted as are your bridesmaides.  Extra special care has been taken to ensure your dress is pressed, spotless and wrinke free.  But what kind of hanger is your Wedding Dress on?  How about those special photos you want the photographer to capture of your Wedding dress hanging in anticipation of the big moment. …

Cinco de Mayo Inspiration . . .

Today is a great day with it being Cinco de Mayo and all to share a beautiful color palette of Orange, Red, and Yellow. These colors are not for Autumn alone. I love the vibrant yet romantic feel of this combination. Perhaps it would be most beautiful at sunset, on a warm sandy beach, somewhere along the Mexican Riviera. But don’t worry if you can’t make it to Mexico, why not transform a backyard into a Spanish Hideaway, add lots of candles to further convey the romantic feel and perhaps…

The Royal Wedding Countdown . . .

I can't tell you how excited I am for the BIG DAY!   I remember watching in anticipation Princess Diana's wedding and I was glued to the TV soaking in every detail and choreographed moment I could feast my eye's on and I wasn't even a Wedding Coordinator then.  Today, of course this wedding holds much more meaning and interest to me and my business as well as the Wedding community as a whole since it will no doubt reshape weddings and trends as we know them.  How exciting is that -…
