Wedding send offs are my favorite part of the wedding.

What to look for when finding wedding inspiration

Looking at blogs, Pinterest, and magazines all day looking for wedding inspiration can be overloading.

I mean every single wedding has something different about it.

It can be tough to sift through all of the noise and find aspects that you truly want in your wedding.

To help, I've come up with some pointers for finding and tracking the stuff that inspires you the most.

Start broad

I can't stress this enough.

Starting broad allows you to see everything that is out there.

I know this contradicts what I said previously, but it's okay to start broad and then narrow down your results.

You might think you know what you want until you stumble upon a different theme, color scheme, or wedding send off that you love more.

Keeping track of it all

To start, there are a few things you can do to funnel all of your favorites into one place.

While keeping things on your Pinterest is nice, it doesn't help with finding things that aren't on there.

So here's what you can do:

Use Google Docs!

It's the free, online version of Microsoft Word that you can use anywhere.

To use Google Docs for keeping track of everything, create different sections with everything from theme to color scheme to whatever you want to plan for your wedding.

Then as you are browsing and find something you like, copy the link and paste it in the correct section.

Simple as that!

Narrowing down

Once you've browsed around, you'll get a feel for what you really like.

Now it's time to trim the fluff.

Instead of browsing the internet, now you want to revisit all of the links you added to your Google Doc.

If you don't love it the second time around, get rid of it.

Try to start with the theme, and cut out everything that doesn't fit from there.

Enjoy your curated list of inspiration!

Once you've established the theme and narrowed down, you should have a great starting point for finding vendors who can deliver on your dream wedding.

So start out with the 4 blogs I mentioned above, narrow down your results, and see what kind of list you end up with!
