The fall is a lovely time of year to get married. The colors are deeper, the leaves are falling, and that crisp autumn air makes outdoor weddings even more enjoyable.  To celebrate the fall, I have come up with another list for you. Here are ten wedding additions to make this fall.

10. A Soup Course

This simple addition to your menu will bring in those fall aromas and set your meal apart from the traditional salad and meat courses. Perhaps a tomato with a cheese dipper on the side, or a nice clam chowder to warm your guests up.

9. A Cardigan

Grab a cozy cardigan in your wedding colors to cozy up in. The sweater won’t cover the embellishments on your dress, and will keep you toasty between outdoor photos.

8. Cigar Bar

If you or your groom enjoys cigars, a cigar bar could be a great touch to your reception or cocktail hour. The cigar bar offers a variety of choices or cigars. To keep costs down pick a few of your favorites to offer. Make sure there is a designated smoking place at your venue.

7. Food Truck

As it gets later into the night, your guests will probably start to get hungry from all the dancing. This is the perfect time to bring in a food truck to stifle those late night cravings. You can rent anywhere from a taco truck to a waffle truck in certain cities. Your guests will be grateful to be able to continue enjoying your reception.

6. Campfire and Smores Bar

A venue with outdoor access can be perfect to add a toasty fire during your reception. A grassy area that allows fire could be fine, or some venues have fire pits with cozy couches. To add to the coziness, smores are a great compliment.

5. Coffee Station/Barista

After dinner, some of your guests may want coffee with their dessert. If you have varied taste in coffee as I do, you may want to ad da barista at your reception. They can make anything from lattes to hot chocolates. What says fall more than a hot cocoa by the fire.

4. Candy Apple Bar

If you have a sweet tooth, but are tired of the candy bar trend, a candy apple bar could be right for you. Picture a dripping caramel fountain with sides of nuts and candy chips. YUM! I don’t recommend placing caramel in your own chocolate fountain unless you do research on how to keep the machine from clogging. One DIY alternative is the caramel sheets that can be bought at most grocery store.

3. Hayride

If your venue is large enough, a hayride is a great way to keep guests entertained all night. Whether this be while you are taking you millions of photos, or during the reception this is a perfect addition to a country wedding.

2. Shawls/wraps

The weather may change quickly from day to night in the fall. Providing shawls or wraps as favors for your quests in a nice touch to keep them comfortable all night. Just as you could provide fans in the summer, a way to fight off the cold will be unexpected and appreciated.

1. Sparkler Send-Off
