Beware of hidden airline fees
There are many new fees to consider when booking your airline travel.

In my ongoing research of US airlines below are some of the hidden ways airlines are passing on the costs to the traveler. These fees are ever changing and as part of my service I will be bringing them to light in blogs such as this. You may also reach me at www.traveltomaui.net

Ryan air and allegiant air recently confirmed plans to charge to use the toilet!

• US airways and Jet Blue are now charging $7.00 for a pillow. Allegiant air is charging $15 for a blanket and $7.00 for a pillow.

• While most airlines are charging for snacks and/or on board meals Hawaiian airlines still offers free meals on their domestic and international flights to and from Hawaii. Midwest, Delta, American and United airlines meal prices ranged from $6.00-11.00.

• Gone are the days of the free water and sodas. Expect to pay between $2.00-3.00 on board Frontier airlines, Spirit and Allegiant air.

• Beer and wine averaged at $5.00-6.00 domestically. International flights prices varied with Delta airlines serving free beer and wine.

As a service to my clients I will endeavor to post these fees whenever I discover them. Look for updates under “hidden fees” or on my twitter updates at http://twitter.com/traveltomaui
