Calligraphy? Yes! You can afford it at only $1 per envelope! Plus other calligraphy questions answered....

Hi there Tweet Brides,
You may have thought you couldn't afford calligraphy for your wedding, but I believe you can. I have discovered after questioning several brides, that many don't even check into calligraphy, because they think it's something that is very overpriced and unnecessary. While other brides decide it's simply something they won't do without and knew they wanted their envelopes addressed in calligraphy from the beginning. Even in this economy, my business is booming with brides who are excited to receive their handwritten calligraphy sent directly to their home upon completion (I pay the shipping back to you as my gift to my out of town clients!). I get such wonderful feedback (see my blog page for details) from satisfied customers who also mention how their guests DID notice the calligraphy and comment back to the bride and groom! You may think your guests won't notice the envelopes, but the invite is the first thing your guests will see regarding your wedding. Give them a feast for the eyes and a taste of things to come at your event of the year, your wedding! When they see that special envelope with their name written in fancy lettering and beautiful flowing ink, they know instantly there is something important in that envelope. I received a wedding invite with the dreaded sticker label on the front and almost threw it away, because it looked like a commercial piece of mail that was ugly and insignificant. When I decided to open it, I was shocked to find a beautiful letterpressed invitation inside! They took the time to order elegant, exciting invitations... only to cheapen the look of the entire effect, by slapping ugly labels on the front. I promise if you order from me, you will hear comments from your guests! They do notice, even when you think they don't! This is my most popular font this year, as the vintage theme is in and elegance is back in style!

This one is also popular, still pretty, but without the extra fancy curls and tails...

And then there's the ever elegant, simple italic that is most often used...

These are just a few of my many styles... and styles can be tweaked to match your theme.
I am a seasoned veteran in the wedding field, with over 24 years experience as a calligrapher. I love weddings and I wish to be a part of your wedding vendor team. I would love to work with you to design items that will enhance your special day! From wedding invitation envelopes, to place cards and escort cards, from programs to menus... everything can be done in elegant hand written calligraphy, adding to the beauty of your special day. Calligraphy details truly enhance the elegance of your wedding day. Check out any Martha Stewart wedding details, and you will find hand written calligraphy is often the choice of the queen wedding planner herself!
My prices make it easy for you to order calligraphy, because YES you can afford calligraphy with a professional calligrapher...
I only charge $1 per envelope for outer envelope and 50 cents for the inner envelop. That is only $1.50 per set of double envelopes, less than some calligraphers charge for one! Plus you get the expertise of a seasoned calligrapher with over 24 years experience. It takes years to hone the skill of calligraphy. Be sure to hire someone who has years of practice under their belt. I have had to correct another calligrapher's work when she failed to know how to write on dark envelopes and refused to honor her work. I guarantee my work.
Visit my blog page at: http://www.calligraphybytammy.blogspot.com for samples and loads of information regarding filling out your list and ideas for many items for your wedding!
Let's start with etiquette for your envelopes. The proper way to address envelopes is always by hand. Even if you decide you don't wish to use a calligrapher, it is still important to do them by hand. If you have pretty hand writing or a friend or relative does, simply ask them to help you with your invitations. Most friends and family members are thrilled about your wedding and happy to help you with details. Don't be afraid to ask. Most folks won't tell the bride no. LOL Take your time using your best cursive handwriting or printing in a simple pretty way. Buy a new pen and practice writing several ways till you find one that you like best. Try things like slanting it one way or writing it straight to give your penmanship a whole new look. It takes a bit longer, but there's nothing like the look of hand writing to add that personal touch to your invitations. It will be worth it when you hear the compliments.
If you know you can't afford calligraphy but would like some more tips on doing your envelopes yourself, I would be happy to give you some great tips to help keep your envelopes straight, etc.
Just send me an email at calligraphybytammy@yahoo.com and I will be happy to help you out!

Bravo...you said it all...
The first introduction to a wedding for the guest is the invitation;and it speaks to the attention to detail the Bride wants to convey. An invitation with hand done calligraphy lets a guest know how much their presence is really requested. The dreaded label makes a beautiful invitation look like a bulk mailing.
Hand done calligraphy is NOT expensive when one looks at the total cost of the wedding .
I also offer similar pricing in the New England area. I can be reached at www.simplydone4u@gmail or my web site www.simplydone4u.net
I appreciate your comments. THANK YOU !!!!

Hiya Patti,
Nice to meet you fellow scribe. ;o)
I will check out your site later today. Was up all night finishing a job to meet a deadline. I am sure you have been there before! It's been a pretty good year considering the economy. How about you?
I just made sure not to raise my prices and to let folks know what they were getting for that price. It's been working out nicely.
Pleasure to meet you Patti,
blessings,
Tammy
