Everyday brings new challenges and obstacles. Some days everything is right on, but others you have to work a little harder. Its the same way in business. If you continue to work on your business one day you will be a big hit. Right now im in the beginning phase and working on progressing. I have days tht are more challenging and days were the designs just flow. I hope to one day have Custom Invitations brick and mortar but as of now i hope to just get as many clients as i can in the door. My inspiration has bloomed since i started this business. I started out with simple designs and moved up to more advance designs now i have a portfolio and two sample card stock books and 28 designs on my web store. Adding new and new designs every day. i know that it takes a little while to get off the ground and start earning back your overhead. So i just keep advertising and promoting and working on getting clients and eventually it will fall into place.

nice post jessica! it's a tough industry...with so many people competing...and so much talent out there...it's hard =( i too am breaking into the wedding industry... i've been doing photography since college... then portraits here and there...and this year was my year where i decided to pursue photography as a profession...and i immediately fell in love with capturing weddings...what an amazing occasion to be a part of...

anyways...there are days for me when i get the business blues cuz it seems you have to work so hard to even get noticed...but right now, with the economy and all...we have to remain positive...i just wanted to drop in and tell you that you weren't alone with the challenges =) i'll send any brides who need any help with invitations your way =) nice meeting you!

why thank you for the help and i know exactly what you mean about the business blues i try very hard every day and hope that something works out. sometimes i worry that im charging to much for my invitations but then i think about the supplies and in order for me to come out with something for the jobs i do i have to charge the price that i do. so its rough but in the end the satisfaction of knowing that you have built this business from the ground up and worked your butt off makes the hard times that much more bearable. lol
