Choosing Your Wedding Dress doesn't take forever....

Your wedding date has been set..how exciting! Here are a few guidelines to follow:

1. Establish a budget for your wedding dress.

2. Pick up some popular Wedding Fashion Magazines and get some ideas KEEPING your body shape into consideration, and the type of wedding you have planned.

3. The biggest mistake I see many Brides make is they try on too many wedding gowns and get confused. You to not have to try on 1,000 dresses and travel nation-wide to find the right dress!

4. Shop LOCAL in your town. They will appreciate your business, and can give you the proper Customer Service! Avoid buying ON-Line -most have NO-Return Policies!

5. Don't wait a month before your wedding to buy your dress and expect miracles in finding "exactly" your dream dress. It's too late for that! You will have to rely on availability and alterations!

6. Make an APPOINTMENT with a Bridal Salon about a year before your wedding. One hour of their Consultation services is usually complimentary..but can vary demographically! Don't waste their time or Professionalism if you do not plan to use their services..they do not work for free and will ask for the sale if they have given ample enough time for you to make your buying decision which is only fair!

7. Many Salons can sell your wedding gown to you off the rack! Treat their inventory with respect.

8. Most wedding dresses require to be special ordered and can take several months to arrive. Don't act surprised if this should be the case with your dress..it's a reality. Be ready to pay a deposit at the time of your order. I allow my brides to pay on their remaining balance monthly. By the time their gown arrives it's paid in full. Keep in mind this is YOUR DRESS!

9. Order your dress in time to allow for ALTERATIONS. Inquire if they have an in-house alteration service and if the costs are extra. Some do not provide this service.

10. Don't ask if you can take photos of the dresses or assume photos are allowed! This is a NO-NO with most Salons, especially with mine. Once you purchase the dress take all the pictures you like!

Your wedding day is special...working with the right Bridal Gown Salons will make buying your wedding dress a fun easy experience!
