Deliver the Perfect Best Man Speech using a Best Man Speech Structure

One of the most important parts of a Best Man Speech, is Placing a relevant Best Man Speech Structure in place. At the time you have the structure, the remaining part of the Speech will become a great deal easier to write. The structure is like the foundations to your building, where from there you can add your bricks, mortar and cement around it.
The beginning would be elements such as the amusing intro, and then the Formal address to the Bridesmaids etc. Then the bricks and cement is where you add to your speech with an 'about you' followed by the embarrassing tales about the Groom. It's necessary to make a note of how you would like this best man speech structure to be laid out so in that way you can jot down anything you would like included along the way, such as tales concerning the Groom, one-liners to put in etc.

Timing plays a big part too. You will need the speech to last long enough to attain interest, but also not too short. It's also not ideal to have it too lengthy as the audience will soon start to get bored and lose interest. As a rough guide, I would recommend planning for a speecharound 10 mins in duration, with the main centre part lasting for approx 5-6 mins, then working out the timing for the start and finish to measure up accordingly.

Now you have everything jotted down in the structure, you need to think about the delivery. It's quite common to be anxious or worried that you won't be able to deliver it right or get it wrong on the day. This can be overcome by placing a few fundamentals into place. The first one is quite simply to practice it! Having a good knowledge of what you would like to say will make life that much easier for you in general, and help you out in a good way should you make the odd slip-up.
Try if you can to practice your speech out loud, or even in front of a partner or close friend that can give you sincere, constructive criticism if needed. All this will boost your confidence and delivery on the day. Once you start to gain this confidence, you then will notice yourself beginning to actually look forward to doing the speech instead of dreading it.
If you have done any amount of information into your Best Man Speech Structure, you will I am sure have stumbled upon so many ‘experts' telling you not to use any pieces of paper, or read from anything at all. This is simply not correct. Although I would not recommend you read the speech from A4 pieces of paper, it is definitely a good idea to have notes in the way of bullet-points or even to have the speech outlined on A5 sized paper or similar. Have it written out in full if thats what you feel you need. It is what makes you feel the most confident and relaxed on the day that matters. Following all of this will assist you to avoid making an embarrassing disaster of it all.
The last thing to remember is to enjoy it! You might feel that it's of the utmost importance to you, and that great expectations are had by everybody, but realistically the End of the World is not reliant on the outcome. Just make sure that you enjoy the Speech too, and if you do then the Audience will as well. You will then be certain that the working out of the best man speech structure will have definitely played an important part in your day.
