I got married last May and had a very small budget. I wanted to pull off a wedding for about 100 or less for under $5000. And I did it!

I did as much DIY as I possibly could. I did this because - #1, I wanted to! I wanted to make sure it had "me" all over it! #2, I knew it would save me money. I also went a little non-traditional with my wedding ideas (I was getting married at the age of 39, so my thoughts of what I wanted in a wedding were different than what they would have been if I was in my 20's), so I tried to carry that theme through yet pull it altogether into one complete look. I am very pleased with how my handmade wedding turned out.

I have photos in my blog of the majority of my DIY projects. I have details for assembling several of these things at my website - My Lil' Craft Shoppe so if you like what you see and want more information on how I did it, just ask, or visit the site!

I also have written a few articles about wedding planning -
