First dates can be mediocre. Naturally, most of us are people who bring pleasure. We like it when people think well of us and want to make a good first impression. Sometimes this can lead to excessive pressure on yourself.

I am a writer, and I often write various, including controversial essay, thereby helping those who have problems with writing papers. And today I would like to talk with you about such an interesting but sometimes controversial topic - first dates.

 

Getting Ready in Advance or Nerves to The Side

Here is a very important piece of advice that I would like to tell myself when I met; be kind to yourself. I know this sounds weirdly chicle, but it's true! Dating should be fun, so let yourself enjoy the ride! With this in mind, here are some tips for tackling the nerves of a first date ...

Do NOT drink before meeting. Thus, many people have a drink before the first date to “calm their nerves”. This is a really bad idea. Alcohol is a depressant and can often lead to more anxiety. So try not to drink.

Wear whatever you like. I know that this sounds obvious, but you will be surprised at how many people wear clothes, because they think they will love their date. In fact, the choice of wardrobe - this is not what they are sold at 100%.

My mother always told me; "When you look great, you feel great." There is so much truth in it. So wear what you feel great - in your own style!

 

The Main Thing - Do Not Worry

Excitement can play a cruel joke with you. We will be nervous and silent. Or vice versa, you will begin to talk without stopping. Therefore, you should not worry. It will not be worse, this is only the first meeting. In addition, your partner is also experiencing.

Yes, I do not argue, you could start each other sympathizing with each other. But, in any case, for real feelings you need to know each other. And for this you need time, and, of course, communication.

Keep a few reserve questions in stock. Many people worry about going on a date and stay awkwardly silent for a long time. To extinguish this concern, having thought through a few questions in advance to continue the conversation.

For example:

  • Where did you grow up?
  • Have you traveled a lot?
  • Have you always wanted to do the work you are doing?
  • Do you cook a lot at home?

Remember, this is not an interview, so try using these questions as a means of encouraging a relaxed conversation.

 

And most importantly,

Be yourself (sorry, don't excuse the cliché). Funny jokes always come down well. If you feel that you can relate to what they say, do not be afraid to tell them about it. People want to know you for real, so do not hold back. My first words to my partner were: “Damn, you're tall!” (Honestly, I'm amazed that we live happily together after this!). I don’t regret letting my personality show itself on dates: the sooner you do this, the sooner you will find a true match.

I hope these tips will help you prepare for your first dates! Remember that we are all human, so stop judging yourself by absolutely unrealistic standards. Take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are equally worthy of the impression. Good luck!
