From Debra Kapustin Photography: DIY Weddings can be fun and inexpensive

Hi, I'm Debra from Debra Kapustin Wedding Photography.  I meet many brides and grooms who are getting married on a budget and I've seen some amazing talent with DIY weddings.  This is an example of a simple, but elegant DIY wedding. The color theme was a clean red and white and my bride made all the decorations herself.  She did, however, have a wedding consultan and I can not stress enough how important that is. For the ring shot, we wanted to keep it in line with her theme so we placed it in a red and white background.  It's all about picking a theme, whether it's simply the colors or a true theme like a vintage wedding.  Once you've landed on the colors and theme, let those be the factors that you base your selections on like flowers, invitations, and table decorations.

I loved the "naming tree" that Candace made and I've seen these used for seating, little thank you cards, and smaller versions of the original invite cards.  There's probably another name for them but I just like calling them the best little trees ever.

Here are a few pictures of the table decorations.  The vases, little red gel beads and stones, and the main center pieces can be picked up at your local art supply store.  There are so many color options to choose from and the designs are endless. These are simple but very elegant.

If you're getting married in the Tampa Bay area or anywhere in the world, drop me a line. I would love to be a part of your wedding day, and yes, we take awesome pictures.
