Getting In Shape For The Wedding Day

Trying to get to a wedding-ready body? There are many workout plans out there and a lot of advice on the best way to tone your body. With all the planning and all the nifty details you have to take care of, you can easily go off the track with your workout plan or fail to achieve your goals despite sticking to a workout regime.

Realistically, if you intend to make some real change, you need to give yourself at least 12 weeks. For those ladies who are no strangers to the gym, it will take about 8 weeks to achieve a certain form.

What is the best training routine for your wedding body?

You want to know the truth of the matter? There is no such thing as the best routine; it’s all about what you want to cut back and sculpt. The dress dictates what you need less of and what you need more of. The workout should be modeled to fit your type of dress. If you want, you can read more about wedding exercise at Cosmopolitan, but keep on reading for my custom wedding workout guide.

Here are some workout exercises that will help you fit into your desired type of dress.

For A Mermaid Dress

The goal of a work out regime to fit into this dress is toning the torso. Workouts are going to enhance your thighs, hips and derrière. The main moves for such a workout are step-ups, lunges and squats, which will tone the glutes, thighs and hips.

You should try out a plan that includes kickboxing since it is a form of martial arts that combines well with cardio, giving you a full-body workout. Spinning also works wonders for your legs and boosts your endurance. Ballet-related exercises are also good for the rear and thighs.

For A Ball Gown

A ball gown dress is not the easiest to look flattering in; however, a workout that focuses on the right parts of the body will mold you into the right shape for it. The aim for such a workout would be to tighten and tone the abdomen (which is no mean feat) and define the waist line.

You need to focus on planks, twists and stability-ball crunches. Core-specific classes will get you shredded fast. Another way to burn fat around the tummy and waistline is to take dancing classes and go for something with quick and intense movement like hip hop or Zumba. Dancing can be a fun workout where you get ready for all the dancing on the big day and get in shape too.

For The Strapless Types

The most troubling thing about wearing the strapless dress is pudgy armpits. It looks awful on any occasion and takes all the class out of the dress. You don’t want that at your wedding day and you need to be focused on sculpting your upper body.

The main workout exercises here include upper back chiselers, triceps press-ups, rotating shoulder and triceps presses. The exercises focus on losing fat on the upper body with just enough working out for the lower body.

Supplement The Workout

You might be working towards a goal and not seeing the results as fast as you want to. The problem is that there are muscles around the body that like to take their sweet time to develop. This is especially true for upper body muscles.

Having a natural supplement to boost your exercise regime is a smart idea. No one wants to be the one to concede failure days before their big day because they don’t have the gains they hoped they would achieve.

Mucuna pruriens is one natural supplement with plenty of benefits, key among them being its ability to spur growth. The supplement has a potent amount of L-dopa which encourages the production of growth hormones. You will need the energy boost for a 15-km run in the morning or high intensity workouts at the gym.

With a workout and a natural supplement to go with it, there is a real possibility of attaining your perfect body for the wedding. All you need to remember is to always work harder, stay consistent and have a minimum of 30-minute workouts.
