I LOVE the get greener ideas! So much of society already has done alot to improve...businesses and people everywhere are going paperless, buying and promoting eco friendly products, and trying to travel more efficiently. As a transplant from Eugene, Oregon (super green!) to Salt Lake City (and Park City), Utah...I am finding myself more and more disappointed in the fact that the "basics" of being green here in Utah simply overseen. I am not sure if the communities here have not expanded like the West Coast, but the simple and easy things like having a paper waste bin or can and glass bins separate from regular trash are not ANYWHERE I have been lately!

As a member of the team at Soiree Productions here in Park City, I make a daily and conscious effort even at my own desk to recycle and reuse as much as I can. The studio as a whole, we are almost completely paperless(just need to get ipads for all of us!) and we make sure to efficiently plan every wedding and event so that there is less waste, more recycling and reusing. I think the little part of the big picture that we are, we do a huge amount of contributing to the creating a GREEN community. If every day, you make more of an effort than the day before, you are on the right track.

Thanks, Christine - I appreciate it!

Melissa, it must be hard to make a transition like that once recycling and the like have become second nature! Good for you, doing what you can in your own home and workspace. Maybe you can become a green ambassador in Utah!
