I've found fairytale inspired weddings to be quite a nice mixture of Vintage and Contemporary styled weddings. It's a perfect combination for those brides who have come to me looking to keep 'something old' and add 'something new' to their event. Something old in this case being the dream-like wedding decor, and of course adding new, fresh and creative ideas to further liven up the event!

Fairytale weddings are, without doubt incomplete with fairy lights, so make sure you have plenty to decorate your reception. I personally love the combination of fairy lights with chandelier, and hanging one over your outdoor reception will really create a heavenly aura.

Of course, with all the light around, the centre of attention has to be the bride! I find brides adding that 'princess' touch by wearing a headdress or tiara quite elegant. It is perfect for both the vintage bride as well as the contemporary ones!

And who can say no to candy in a fairyland? I advice using pastel shades to bring out a vintage essence to the event. It's going to look absolutely stunning with fairytale inspired setting, so let go of the darker shades. After all, you have to re-create a vintage setting!

Every fairytale had a happy ending. For your perfect ending to the event, why not do it all the way? What do you say to a ride in carriage to your new wonderland?

I can't be more smitten over this inspirational wedding theme. What do you think? Are you a 'Princess Bride'?
